mh rpm build for : RedHat Other. For other distributions click mh.

Name : mh
Version : 6.8.4 Vendor : (none)
Release : 0hd1 Date : 1997-04-28 19:52:01
Group : Applications/Mail Source RPM : mh-6.8.4-0hd1.src.rpm
Size : 2.96 MB
Packager : (none)
Summary : MH mail handling system
Description :
MH mail handling system (with POP support). MH is a popular
mail handling system but includes only a command line interface. It is
an important base, however, for programs like xmh and exmh.

This is a best-effort-for-a-first-time-rpm-builder attempt to provide
an RPM for the MH 6.8.4 mail handling system.

This rpm was built on a Red Hat Linux 4.1 system using rpm-2.3.2-1
and is hacked from the RHL 4.1 stock mh-6.8.3-13.src.rpm with minimal
changes. The patches to go from MH 6.8.3 to MH 6.8.4 are the pristine
source file from:
ftp.ics.uci.edu:/pub/mh/updates/MH.6.8.4.Z
That patch file obviated the need for mh-inetaddr.patch (which is
included in the src.rpm but not applied). In addition to fixes, the
following new files are installed:
/usr/bin/mh/pgped
/usr/bin/mh/pgpshow
/usr/lib/mh/pgped.tcl

Relevant information from the CHANGES file you will find in the
appropriate directory under /usr/doc, for more detail consult the
MH.6.8.4.Z referenced above.

CHANGES FOR MH 6.8.4

The MH 6.8.4 release is a minor maintenance release, and
contains few user-visible changes. The changes consist
mostly of documentation improvements, minor bug fixes, and
some portability enhancements for BSD 4.4 and Solaris 2.x
(contributed changes for HPUX and OSF1 have not yet been
integrated into this release). This is the current version
of MH as of February 8, 1996.

Runtime Tailoring

By default post will now give the SMTP HELO command with the
local hostname. If you specify a hostname with the client-
name: option in the mtstailor file, post will give the HELO
command with that name instead. If the argument to the
clientname: option is empty, no HELO command is given. See
mh-tailor(5) for more details.

Multi-media Mail & Encryption

A few new PGP support programs can be found in the sup-
port/general directory. repl supports the `-[no]mime\'
option. See repl(1) for more details.
