* Wed Apr 12 2000 Derald Metzger - UPDATE to 0.99.2b- Default sets are now configurable in CFMROOT/config. Initially set to \" all $LOGNAME\". get replaced by the name of the owning rpm.- Restored ability to modify mulitple hostsets with a single cfmdb -h cmd.- \"cfmdb --initdb\" initializes the \"all\" set. This set should accomodate non-rpm owned common files in the cfmdb. Initially contains /etc/hosts, /etc/rc.d/init.d/chk.cfm. - \"cfmdb --init --host \" initializes the SVR4 runcmd symlinks as host specific files including the set of SVR4 runcmd symlinks.- `cfmh\' cmd is to automatically gen the chk.cfm file holding the SVR4 symlink status each time it is executed. Uses `chkconfig --list\'.
* Sun Apr 02 2000 Derald Metzger - UPDATE to 0.99.1b- This is the initial beta release for cfm-1.- Cfm-1 beta consists of new cfmdb and cfm cmds with continued use of most other parts of cfm-0. Both new cmds use the name of the rpm that owns a config file as the default set name for that file. This results in a major simplification of database setup and management.- The cfmdb cmd is the exclusive means used to initialize, configure, and otherwise manage the addition or removal of elements of the cfm databbase. It also includes additional new control and analysis capabilities. The cfmdb cmd syntax is modeled after the rpm cmd. The internal structure of the pkg resembles cvs.- The cfm cmd continues to provide comparision, update, and documentaion for individual config file versions.- It is possible to use the new cfm pkg with an old cfmdb. Your success in doing this will vary with the manner in which you have assigned set names. If you have used the rpm names as set names it might be worth a try. - In an attempt to extend cfm support to individual users the $LOGNAME has been added as 2nd default set name. All that should be required to support users is to create and set ownership and permissions on a dir for each user in the cfmdb, eg $CFMROOT/home/dmetz.
