cdbget - look up one key in a constant database
SYNOPSIS
cdbgetkey DESCRIPTION
cdbgetsearches for a record indexed by
keyin a constant database.The constant database must be readable (and seekable)on
cdbget'sstandard input.
cdbgetnormally (1) prints the data in the first matching recordand (2) exits 0.Note thatcdbgetdoes not check for write errors,so it should be used only inside a pipe.
Ifkeyis not in the database,cdbgetexits 1 without printing anything.
Ifcdbgetencounters a read error,it complains and exits 111.
