NAME

rosy - RO stub-generator (yacc-based)

SYNOPSIS

rosy[-defs][-pepsy][-b prefix][-d][-o module.py][-s][-T tablename][-O operationlist]module.ry

DESCRIPTION

The rosy program reads a description of a remote operationsmodule and produces C routines and definitions suitable for use withthe librosy (3n) library.

The `-pepsy' switch tells rosy that it's output will beprocessed by pepsy not posy.

The `-defs' switch tells rosy to provide function names for pepsy.

The `-b' switch sets the prefix used for the output file.If this option is not given, the ASN.1 module name is used.

The `-d' switch directs rosy to ignore most pepy-styleaugmentations.

The `-o' switch sets the name of the output file, which is normally derived from the name of the input file. The distinguished file ``-'' can be used to force the use of thestandard output.

Normally, rosy prints the name of each operation, error, or typeas it works. The `-s' switch disables this behavior.

It is sometimes useful to produce subsets of the full lists of theoperations to reduce code sizes. The following switches can be usedtogether with the `-o' switch to achieve this affect.

The `-T' option specifies a different table name to be used. This isused to build a separate list of operations - usually a subset of thefull list.

The `-O' option takes a comma separated list of operation names. Ifthis argument is present, only those operations listed here will beprocessed. All other operations will be ignored and will not be placedin the table. Currently all errors are output however.
