ezmlm-send - distribute a message to a mailing list
SYNOPSIS
ezmlm-senddir DESCRIPTION
ezmlm-sendreads a mail message andsends it to the mailing list stored in
dir.If
dir/archivedexists,
ezmlm-sendrecords a copy of the message in the
dir/archivedirectory.
At the beginning of the message,ezmlm-sendprints a newMailing-Listfield with the contents ofdir/mailinglist.It rejects the message if there is already aMailing-Listfield.
ezmlm-sendalso prints the contents of theDTLINEenvironment variable ifDTLINEis set.
ezmlm-senddeletes any incomingReturn-Path,Content-Length,andReturn-Receipt-Tofields.
ezmlm-senddoes not distribute bounce messages:if the environment variableSENDERis set, and is either empty or#@[],ezmlm-sendrejects the message.
SUBLISTS
If
dir/sublistexists,
ezmlm-sendchanges its behavior in several ways.
First, ifSENDERis set,and the first line ofdir/sublisthas the formparent@parenthost,ezmlm-sendinsists thatSENDERhave the formparent...@parenthost.
Second,ezmlm-senddemands that the message already have aMailing-Listfield.
Third,ezmlm-senddoes not add its ownMailing-Listfield.
