imagex unmount - Unmount a WIM archive
SYNOPSISimagex unmount DIRECTORY
imagex unmount unmounts the WIM image that has been mounted onDIRECTORY.
By default, no changes are saved. You must specify the --commitoption to save your changes to the WIM file.
imagex unmount uses WIMLIB's wimlib_unmount() function. This function isimplemented by using execlp (3) to execute fusermount -u. This iscurrently necessary because fusermount is installed with the setuid rootpermission needed to perform an unmount. Then, for mounts that are notread-only, the instance of imagex that is managing the filesystem opensand waits for a message in a POSIX message queue (see mq_overview (7)).The instance of imagex that is executing the unmount command thensends a message that indicates whether changes are to be committed or not, andwhether an integrity table is to be included or not. A message is then sent inthe other direction when the unmounting has been completed, and it indicateswhether the unmounting was successful or not.
- Recreate the WIM file with the changes that have been made. Has no effect ifthe mount is read-only..
- When writing WIMFILE, include an integrity table. Has no effect if themount is read-only or if --commit was not specified.
