| Summary : PCXperience Firewall Scripts
|
Description :
The pcx_firewall scripts provide a set of customization files that allows the user to fine tune what their firewall is going to do. It provides for blocking ports, hosts, etc., doing SNAT, DNAT and REDIRECTion. This uses the new features of the 2.4.x linux kernels.
The default startfw script is very limiting and in fact does nothing but set the default policies of the firewall chains to the most secure and configures other security measures.
Run \'/usr/lib/pcx_firewall/generator all\' after customizing the configuration files in \'/usr/lib/pcx_firewall\'. This will create startfw, stopfw and restartfw which are the actual firewall scripts.
Run \'/usr/lib/pcx_firewall/install\' to put the scripts in their final location which is /etc/pcx_firewall. Your previous scripts will be backed up before the new scripts are put in place.
