I'm ordinary person. I bought for my money big part of hardware for RPM Search. You see on RPM Search only non aggressive ads from Google AdSense. You don't see any popup windows and blinking flash ads on my website.

Continuous growth popularity RPM Search takes higher load my servers. I had to upgrade hardware very often. It's beyond my capabilities to do that. Today I see such needs:

add new HDD to FTP server

increase efficiency database server by increase RAM amount and upgrade CPUs

First point I'd like to realize by purchase 1TB SATA harddisks. Costs:

1TB harddisk - about 400$(bought by money from adds and donations)

1TB harddisk - about 400$

Second point I'd like to realize by purchase at least 4GB RAM. Costs:

2 x Kingston KVR333D4R25/2G - about 2 x 270$ = 540$

Quad Opteron motherboard - about $900

4 x Opteron 880 - about $500

As you see I need at least about $2340 . Now I don't have so much money. If you think that RPM Search is useful for you please donate it by any money. Are you able donate 1$ ? If yes don't hesitate. Do it. In the past I bought: motherboard, CPU, 3ware RAID controler, harddisks, chassis and memory modules for money from donations and mainly from adds.
